How to Set Up Notification Alerts for Accounts, Developers & Segments in Reo.Dev

Stay on top of high-intent activity across accounts and developers with real-time alerts — delivered via Slack or email. Reo.Dev allows you to configure alert types and channels, and control them at three levels: accounts, developer profiles, and segments.

Overview: Where Alerts Can Be Set

Reo.Dev supports notifications across three key levels:

Level

Description

Account-level

Receive alerts when activity is detected for a specific account

Developer-level

Receive alerts when activity is detected for a specific developer profile

Segment-level

Receive alerts for any account or developer inside selected segments

Note: Segment-level alerts are only available for Account and Developer segments. Buyer segments are not supported for alerts.

Step 1: Configure Notification Preferences (Global Setup)

Before enabling alerts at any level, set your notification preferences first.

  1. Go to Settings → Configurations

  2. Click Configure on the Notification Settings card

  1. Set Channel Preferences:

Choose your notification channel(s):

  • Email: Turn on the toggle to receive alerts via email

  • Slack:

    • Send as Direct Message — alerts go to your personal Slack inbox

    • Send to Slack Channel — choose one shared channel across your team to receive all alerts from Reo.Dev

Slack channel alerts are shared across all users in the workspace (only one channel can be selected). Slack DMs and all account/developer/segment alert toggles are user-specific.

  1. Set Activity Preferences:

Choose the activities that should trigger alerts:

  • GitHub (Stars, Forks, Issues Created, Comments)

  • Documentation Activity (Docs Review, Installation Initiated, Command Executed)

  • Website Activity (Page Visits, Key Page Visits)

  • Product Activity (Product Login)

Once saved, these preferences control what activity alerts you receive and where

Step 2: Enable Alerts for Accounts/Developers/Segments

Once your global settings are configured, alerts can be turned on for specific accounts, developers and segments.

1) Account-Level Alerts

To get notified about specific account activity:

  1. Go to the Accounts Dashboard

  3. Click on Enable Alerts

2) Developer-Level Alerts

  2. Select a developer profile

  3. Click on Enable Alerts

3) Segment-Level Alerts

Use this to receive activity alerts only for accounts or developers in specific segments.

  1. Go to the Segments Dashboard

  2. Find the segment you want to receive alerts for

  3. Click on the bell icon to enable alerts for this segment
