# Cursor Connector

Connect Reo MCP to Cursor to bring account intelligence, developer signals, and GTM data directly into your Cursor chats.

* Cursor Desktop App
* Active Reo.Dev Account
* Data-out API & Product API enabled on Reo.Dev
* Must be logged out of your Reo.Dev Account before starting

### Connect Reo.Dev MCP to Cursor

1. **Log out of your Reo.Dev Account.**
2. Open the **Cursor desktop app**. In the left sidebar, click **Customize**.

3. In the Customize panel, **select the MCPs tab**. Under **"Connect External Tools with MCP,"** click **+ New**.

4. This opens <mark style="color:red;">`mcp.json`</mark>. **Add the Reo MCP server configuration:**

5. **Save the file**. Open the ... menu in the top-right corner and select Save File.

6. Back in **Customize > MCPs**, <mark style="color:red;">`reo-mcp-server`</mark> will appear under **Needs Attention** with the status "Needs authentication." Click **Authenticate**.

If the connection gets stuck on "Waiting for callback" after clicking Authenticate, it almost always means you weren't logged out of your Reo.Dev account before starting. Log out of Reo.Dev, then click Authenticate again to restart the flow.

7. You'll be redirected to your browser to log in to Reo and **authenticate with your Reo account credentials.**
8. Once authentication succeeds, you'll see an "Authorization complete!" confirmation screen. Click **Return to Cursor**.

9. Under the MCPs tab, <mark style="color:red;">`reo-mcp-server`</mark> will now appear under **Connected**.

Note: the connector may initially show "0 tools enabled." Click into the reo-mcp-server entry to review and enable the tools you want available in chat.

10. **Start a new chat** to begin using Reo MCP in Cursor.

Once you have successfully connected, complete the following 2 steps to get started:

* From a new Cursor chat, **type** <mark style="color:red;">`Get me started with Reo MCP`</mark>
* When you start for the first time, **Reo MCP walks you through a short setup flow to personalize the end-to-end journey of how Reo data works for you inside Cursor**. It will take you less than 2 minutes to finish the setup.
