# LinkedIn

### Overview

**Every comment, reaction, and repost on your company's LinkedIn page is a signal**, but by default it's just a name and a headline, disconnected from everything else you know about that person.

Connecting LinkedIn to Reo.dev closes that gap.

Once connected, Reo.dev matches the people engaging with your company page back to their account and developer profiles, so that activity sits alongside their docs visits, product usage, and everything else you're already tracking.

**GTM teams get a live view of which accounts and developers are most active on LinkedIn, and which posts actually resonate, instead of cross-referencing profiles by hand.**

***

### Before you start

* You need **Admin role** access in Reo.dev to set up this integration
* You need **admin access to your company's LinkedIn Page** to get its Admin URL

These are two separate requirements. You need both, even if you're already an admin in Reo.dev.

***

### Connect your LinkedIn page

1. From the left menu, navigate to **Settings → Integrations**.

4. Click **Allow** to grant Reo.dev access to that engagement data, the comments, reactions, and reposts this integration tracks.

5. You'll see a confirmation that your LinkedIn integration is connected.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Tip:** Once connected, you can create an Account or Developer segment based on LinkedIn reactions, and filter the activity timeline by LinkedIn interactions.
{% endhint %}

### Error scenarios

Most connection issues come down to the two admin requirements.

* The person setting this up needs both a Reo.dev Admin role and LinkedIn Page admin access.
* Missing either one will block the connection.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.reo.dev/integrations/input-sources/owned-communities/linkedin.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
